How Do Offline-Streams Work?

Offline Streams let you review footage when your internet connection is unavailable or unstable, for example in the locker room at half-time, or during a temporary network interruption at the stadium.

How Offline Streams Work

  • Open a match and watch the feeds while you have a working internet connection. See Select a Match if needed.
  • MatchVision stores all feeds locally on your device – starting when you begin watching and continuing until your internet connection becomes unavailable.
  • All feeds are stored automatically
  • Open the same match to watch the saved footage without an internet connection.

Important Information

Make sure your device has enough free storage before you enter a match:

          • An entire match requires approximately 75 GB of storage
          • MatchVision checks your device’s available storage before you enter a match
          • If there isn’t enough free storage, MatchVision displays a message with these options:
            • Delete previously stored matches to free up storage
            • Review your available storage manually
            • Continue to the match. This means that offline viewing is not possible after the available storage is used.
          • If your internet connection becomes unavailable while you are viewing a match, you can review the part of the match stored locally and view its tags
          • If you enter a match while offline, only the locally stored part of the match is available. Tags are not available when you enter a match while offline.

⚠️An internet connection is required the first time you sign in and the first time you load a match.

                        View offline streams

                        1. Open MatchVision on the same device
                        2. Open the same match
                        3. Watch the locally saved feeds in the match workspace

You can use the timeline and playback controls to review the saved footage.

If your internet connection drops during a live match:

                              • Playback can continue from the local copy already stored on your device.
                              • New live video is not downloaded until you are online again.
                              • LIVE takes you to the latest point of the saved stream, which may not correspond to the live action in the stadium.
