Create a Series
Set up the top level of your racing calendar in ONE RACEHUB, so you can add seasons, events, and sessions under it.
What is a series?
A series is the top level of your racing calendar. It groups everything that belongs to one championship, program, or activity.
Examples:
- A racing championship, such as DTM
- A test program, such as Testing
- A development or simulation program
A series is independent of the year. It continues from one year to the next, and each year is added as a season.
Before you begin
- You have access to the Admin section in ONE RACEHUB.
Create a series
- In the sidebar, select Admin
- Select Events
- Select Add Race Series
- Enter a Name, for example "DTM" or "Testing"
- Enter a Short Name
- Optional: enter a Sorting index to control the order of your series in the overview. Use it if you want to group series, for example by governing body or priority.
- Select Save
The new series appears in the series overview.
ⓘ The Short name field is a legacy field and is still required. Enter a short name when creating a series.
💡Name the series after the championship or program, not the year. The year belongs in the season.
Sort your series
-
If you don't enter a sorting index, series are sorted by name. When you add a sorting index, the overview sorts series by number instead.
-
Use a clear numbering scheme, such as 10, 20, and 30, so you can add series later without renumbering the rest.
Examples:
Racing series
- Series: DTM
- Season: 2026
- Season: 2027
The series name stays the same, and each year is a new season.
Test program
- Series: Testing
- Season: Pre-season 2026
- Events for each test
- Season: Pre-season 2026
Edit a series
- Go to Admin → Events.
- Find the series you want to edit
- Select the pencil icon next to the series
- Update the details as needed and save your changes
Copy a series ID
Each series has a unique ID that you can use to identify it. The API uses IDs rather than series names to identify records.
To copy a series ID:
- Find the series you want to copy
- In the Actions menu, select the copy icon.
Access control
Make sure the appropriate permissions are configured for the users who need to work with the series. See Configure Individual Event Access for more information.
