Manage and organize race events efficiently in ONE RACEHUB
What Is an Event?
An Event in ONE RACEHUB represents a specific race weekend, test day, or other occasion at a particular venue. Events contain all the sessions that occur during that time period, such as practice sessions, qualifying, and races.
Accessing the Event Level
To access and manage events:
- Navigate to Admin → Events
- Click on a series name
- Click on a season name
- This will take you to the event level for that season
Creating a New Event
To add a new event:
- Click the Add Event button
- Enter the following information:
- Name: The event name (e.g., "DTM Oschersleben")
- Track: Select the circuit where the event takes place
- Layout: Choose the specific track layout being used
- Start Date/Time: When the event begins
- End Date/Time: When the event concludes
- Event Type: Select "Race", "Test", or another appropriate type
- Event Number: Used for ordering events (typically sequential)
- Save the new event
Your event will now appear in the list of events for that season.
Event Information Details
Event Name
Choose a clear, descriptive name that includes the venue, such as "DTM Oschersleben" or "Pre-Season Test Barcelona".
Track and Layout
Selecting the correct track and layout is important for:
- Mileage calculations
- Track maps
- Data analysis context
Event Dates
The start and end dates determine:
- When the event appears in calendars
- When it shows as "active" in ONE RACEHUB
- The timeframe for filtering data
Event Type
Common event types include:
- Race
- Test
- Development
- Simulation
Event Number
This determines the order in which events appear. Use sequential numbers for a chronological listing.
Managing Existing Events
From the event overview, you can:
- View all events within the selected season
- Click on an event name to see its sessions
- Edit an event by clicking the pencil icon

- Consistent Naming: Use a consistent format for all event names
- Complete Information: Always include the correct track and layout
- Accurate Timing: Set precise start and end dates for proper calendar integration
- Logical Numbering: Use event numbers that reflect the chronological order
