Managing Event Availability

To make a tyre available for a specific event:

  • Scrap: Mark a tyre as no longer usable
  • Delete: Remove a tyre from your inventory completely

Tracking Tyre Mileage

The Tyre Pool automatically tracks:

  • Mileage accumulated in each session
  • Total mileage for each event
  • Overall tyre life mileage

Mileage Thresholds

Configure mileage thresholds at the top left of the Tyre Pool view:

  1. Set Warning Threshold (yellow highlight)
  2. Set Limit Threshold (red highlight)

These visual indicators help quickly identify tyres approaching or exceeding their expected life.

Example: Managing Team-Owned Tyres

Let's walk through a typical workflow for managing team-owned tyres that will be used across multiple events:

  1. Add to Pool: Create new tyres in the Tyre Pool with detailed specifications
  2. Plan Usage: Check the availability boxes for all events where you'll use these tyres
  3. Create Sets: Organize the tyres into logical sets (see Working with Tyre Sets)
  4. Track Usage: As the tyres are used in sessions, monitor their accumulating mileage
  5. Rotate or Retire: Based on mileage and condition, plan tyre rotation or retirement

This process ensures complete tracking throughout the tyre's lifecycle.

Sorting and Filtering

You can sort the Tyre Pool by clicking on column headers:

  • Sort by set name
  • Sort by tyre name
  • Sort by mileage in a specific event

This helps identify patterns and make decisions about your tyre strategy.

Next Steps

After setting up your Tyre Pool:

  1. Create tyre sets for easier management
  2. Assign tyres to upcoming events
  3. Begin tracking tyre data in runsheets
