Managing Your Tyre Pool
Discover how to effectively manage and track your team's tyre inventory, including adding, organizing, and monitoring tyres across multiple events.
What Is the Tyre Pool?
The Tyre Pool in ONE RACEHUB is your complete inventory of tyres. It includes all the tyres your team manages across multiple events. The Tyre Pool allows you to:
- Track individual tyres throughout their lifecycle
- Monitor total mileage on each tyre
- Assign tyres to specific events
- Organize tyres into sets
- Record detailed tyre specifications
Accessing the Tyre Pool
To access your Tyre Pool:
- Navigate to the Tyres section in the sidebar
- Select Tyre Sheet
- Choose your Series, Season, Event, and Session at the top
- Click on the Tyre Pool tab
Adding Tyres to Your Pool
Adding a Single Tyre
To add an individual tyre:
- Click + Add pool tyre at the top right
- Select Single tyre
- Fill in the tyre details:
- Name: A unique identifier for the tyre
- Type: Dry or Wet
- Axle: Front or Rear
- Initial Condition: New, Scrubbed, or Used
- Compound: The tyre compound
- Manufacturer: The tyre maker
- Construction: Construction details
- Additional fields as needed (barcodes, TPMS, etc.)
- Click Save
Adding Multiple Tyres
For adding several tyres at once:
- Click + Add pool tyre
- Select Multiple tyres
- Configure the naming convention:
- Chassis: Your car identifier
- Info String: Additional information (e.g., "DRY", "WET")
- Set Number: Starting number for the set
- Digits: How many digits for the set number (e.g., 2 for "01")
- Format: How the name is structured (e.g., "x-i-s" for "Chassis-Info-Set")
- Check "Combine created tyres into sets" if you want automatic set creation
- Fill in common details for all tyres
- Specify how many sets to create
- Click Save
Tyre Pool View and Management
The Tyre Pool view displays all your tyres with:
- Set name and individual tyre identifiers
- Event availability (checkboxes)
- Mileage by event
- Color-coded mileage indicators based on thresholds
Expanding Tyre Information
- Click the expander next to the Tyre Set column to view set comments
- Click the expander next to the Tyre column to see:
- Barcode information
- Rim details
- Weight
- Minimum pressure
- Action buttons (Edit, Scrap, Delete)
- Click the expander next to any Event column to see session-specific mileage
Managing Event Availability
To make a tyre available for a specific event:
- Find the event column for the tyre
- Check the box to make it available
- Uncheck to remove it from that event
This allows you to plan which tyres will be used at upcoming events.
Tyre Actions
For each tyre in your pool, you can:
- Edit: Update tyre specifications or details
- Scrap: Mark a tyre as no longer usable
- Delete: Remove a tyre from your inventory completely
Tracking Tyre Mileage
The Tyre Pool automatically tracks:
- Mileage accumulated in each session
- Total mileage for each event
- Overall tyre life mileage
Mileage Thresholds
Configure mileage thresholds at the top left of the Tyre Pool view:
- Set Warning Threshold (yellow highlight)
- Set Limit Threshold (red highlight)
These visual indicators help quickly identify tyres approaching or exceeding their expected life.
Example: Managing Team-Owned Tyres
Let's walk through a typical workflow for managing team-owned tyres that will be used across multiple events:
- Add to Pool: Create new tyres in the Tyre Pool with detailed specifications
- Plan Usage: Check the availability boxes for all events where you'll use these tyres
- Create Sets: Organize the tyres into logical sets (see Working with Tyre Sets)
- Track Usage: As the tyres are used in sessions, monitor their accumulating mileage
- Rotate or Retire: Based on mileage and condition, plan tyre rotation or retirement
This process ensures complete tracking throughout the tyre's lifecycle.
Sorting and Filtering
You can sort the Tyre Pool by clicking on column headers:
- Sort by set name
- Sort by tyre name
- Sort by mileage in a specific event
This helps identify patterns and make decisions about your tyre strategy.
