Recording Tyre Data in Runsheets
Guide to Recording and Analyzing Tyre Data in ONE RACEHUB Runsheets.
Tyre Data in Runsheets
The Runsheet in ONE RACEHUB includes a dedicated Tyres box where you can record comprehensive information about tyre performance during each run. This data is critical for:
- Post-session analysis
- Pressure calculation refinement
- Tyre life monitoring
- Performance optimization
Accessing the Tyres Box
The Tyres box is part of the standard Runsheet layout:
- Open the Runsheet for your session
- Open the Tyres box
- All tyre-related inputs are organized in this section
Selecting a Tyre Set
The first step for each run is to select which tyre set is being used:
- Click the dropdown menu in the Tyres box
- Select from the available tyre sets (created in Event Tyre Sets or Season Tyre Sets)
- This selection will track mileage and link all data to the correct set
Recording Starting Data
Before the run, record the initial tyre conditions:
- Start Pressure: The pressure set in each tyre before the run
- Start Temp: The temperature of each tyre before the run
- Target Pressure: The pressure you want to achieve during the run (you can use the "Load" button to pull in default targets from your event settings)
For starting pressures, you have several quick options:
- Copy previous run post pressures: Loads the end pressures from the previous run as your new starting pressures (useful for back-to-back runs)
- Read default start pressure from event settings: Loads your default values
- Read target pressure from event settings: Loads your target values
Recording Post-Run Data
After the run, record the ending conditions:
- Post Pressure: The pressure in each tyre immediately after the run
- Post Temp: The temperature of each tyre immediately after the run
This data is critical for understanding how pressures built up during the run and for refining your pressure calculations.
Additional Tyre Measurements
For comprehensive tyre management, you can also record:
- PostBleedPres: Pressure after bleeding (reducing) the pressure
- PostBleedTemp: Temperature at the time of bleeding
- PreBleedP: The amount of pressure bled from each tyre
- PSetDown: Pressure after the tyre has "set down" (typically measured hours after a run)
- TSetDown: Temperature at the time of set-down measurement
- Surface Temperature: Temperatures measured at the tyre surface
- Tread Depth: Remaining tread measurements
These additional measurements provide valuable data for tyre management and performance analysis.
Data Usage
The tyre data recorded in runsheets is used in several ways:
- Pressure Calculations: Refines future pressure predictions
- Mileage Tracking: Updates total mileage on the tyre set
- Performance Analysis: Correlates tyre data with lap times
Next Steps
With your tyre data recording complete:
- Review data in the Pressure Calculations section
- Analyze performance trends
- Refine your tyre strategy for upcoming sessions
