Tyre Barcode Management

Streamlines the tracking and identification of tyres, rims, and TPMS, ensuring efficient inventory management and lifecycle tracking.

What Is Tyre Barcode Management?

ONE RACEHUB allows you to track barcodes for your tyres, rims, and Tyre Pressure Monitoring Systems (TPMS). This feature helps you:

  • Quickly identify specific components
  • Streamline the tyre management process
  • Maintain accurate inventory records
  • Track components throughout their lifecycle

Accessing Barcode Management

To access the barcode management features:

  1. Navigate to the Tyres section in the sidebar
  2. Select Tyre Sheet
  3. Choose your Series, Season, Event, and Session at the top
  4. Click on the Event Tyre Barcodes tab

Recording Barcodes

You can record three types of barcodes for each tyre:

  1. Tyre Barcode: Identifies the tyre itself
  2. Rim Barcode: Identifies the wheel rim
  3. TPMS Barcode: Identifies the pressure monitoring sensor

Using a Barcode Scanner

ONE RACEHUB is designed to work with barcode scanners:

  1. Click in the Barcode Tyre cell for the tyre you want to scan
  2. Scan the barcode with your scanner
    • The system will automatically input the code
    • The cursor will automatically move to the Rim Barcode field
  3. Scan the rim barcode
    • The cursor will automatically move to the TPMS Barcode field
  4. Scan the TPMS barcode
    • The cursor will automatically move to the next tyre

This efficient workflow allows you to quickly scan an entire set of tyres, rims, and sensors.

Manual Barcode Entry

If you don't have a barcode scanner, you can manually enter the codes:

  1. Click in the barcode field
  2. Type the barcode number
  3. Press Tab to move to the next field
  4. Continue until all fields are complete

Barcode Information in Other Views

Once recorded, barcode information is visible in several places:

  • In the Tyre Pool view (by expanding the Tyre column)
  • In the Event Tyres view (by expanding the Tyre column)
  • In detailed tyre information when editing a tyre

Using Barcodes for Tyre Identification

Barcodes are particularly useful when:

  • You need to quickly identify a specific tyre
  • You're working with large numbers of similar tyres
  • You need to verify that the correct tyres are mounted

Example Workflow: Processing New Tyres

When receiving a new shipment of tyres:

  1. Add the tyres to your Tyre Pool or Event Tyres
  2. Go to the Event Tyre Barcodes tab
  3. Locate the newly added tyres
  4. Systematically scan the barcode for each tyre, rim, and TPMS
  5. Verify that all barcodes have been correctly recorded

This process ensures all components are properly identified from the start.

Next Steps

After recording barcode information:

  1. Organize your tyres into sets
  2. Begin tracking tyre performance data
  3. Use the barcodes for quick identification during tyre changes
