Best Lap Comparison

Designed to help users compare their best and most recent lap times against the fastest cars in a specific session. It provides detailed insights into sector times and overall lap performance, allowing for a comprehensive analysis of lap data.

Deltas View

The "Deltas" View provides a detailed comparison of your lap times against the theoretical best times and the best times from the session. This view is divided into several sections to offer comprehensive insights.

Lap Time: Displays the best overall lap time achieved in the session.
S1, S2, S3: Shows the sector times for the best overall lap.

Overall Theoretical Best

  • Lap Time (Th. Best): The best possible lap time by combining the fastest sector times from the session.
  • Best achieved Lap Time: The fastest completed time from any car.

Example:

  • The best possible laptime is 1:23.953 (Car #6 for S1 and S2, and Car #5 for S3).
  • The best overall lap time is 1:24.297 by Car #12.

Manufacturer Best

  • Lap Time (Th. Best): The best possible lap time combining the fastest sectors  session of each car of that Manufacturer.
  • Best achieved Lap Time: The fastest completed time from any car of this Manufacturer.

Example:

  • The theoretical best lap time of all Alpine cars is 1:24.644.
  • The best lap time of any Alpine car was 1:24.644

Selected Car Best

  • Lap Time: The best lap time from your selected car.
  • Comparison Th. Best: Shows the Delta of the best lap time to the overall theoretical best lap time
  • Comparison M. Th. Best: Shows the Delta of the best lap time to the theoretical best lap time of the Manufacturer which is selected to Highlight under Preferences.
  • Comparison Th. P. Best: Shows the Delta of the best lap time to the personal theoretical best lap time of the selected Car.

Example:

  • The best lap time of the car #36 which is selected in the sidebar is 1:25.114. With sector times of 21.815 (S1), 43.324 (S2), 19.975 (S3)
  • Your best lap (#36) is 1.16 seconds slower than the overall theoretical best, with sector differences of +0.38 (S1), +0.49 (S2), and +0.29 (S3).
  • Your best lap (#36) is 0.47 seconds slower than the theoretical best of the highlighted Manufacturer, with sector differences of +0.16 (S1), +0.20 (S2), and +0.11 (S3).
  • Your best lap (#36) is 0.10 seconds slower than your personal theoretical best, with sector differences of +0.08 (S1), +0.00 (S2), and +0.03 (S3).

Selected Car Last

  • Lap Time: The most recently completed lap time from your selected car.
  • Comparison Th. Best: Shows the Delta of the last lap time to the overall theoretical best lap time
  • Comparison M. Th. Best: Shows the Delta of the last lap time to the theoretical best lap time of the Manufacturer which is selected to Highlight under Preferences.
  • Comparison Th. P. Best: Shows the Delta of the last lap time to the personal theoretical best lap time of the selected Car.

Example:

  • The last lap time of the car #36 which is selected in the sidebar is 1:26.572. With sector times of 22.046 (S1), 44.408 (S2), 20.118 (S3)
  • Your last lap (#36) is 2.62 seconds slower than the overall theoretical best, with sector differences of +0.61 (S1), +1.58 (S2), and +0.43 (S3).
  • Your last lap (#36) is 1.93 seconds slower than the theoretical best of the highlighted Manufacturer, with sector differences of +0.39 (S1), +1.29 (S2), and +0.25 (S3).
  • Your last lap (#36) is 0.31 seconds slower than your personal theoretical best, with sector differences of +0.31 (S1), +1.08 (S2), and +0.17 (S3).

Table View

This view focuses solely on comparing the actual fastest lap times without considering theoretical best times.

Lap Time: Displays the best overall lap time achieved in the session.
S1, S2, S3: Shows the sector times for the best overall lap.

Overall Best

  • Lap Time: Displays the best overall lap time achieved in the session.
  • S1, S2, S3: Shows the sector times for the best overall lap.
  • Comparison: The times in red indicate how much slower your selected car (#36) is compared to the best overall lap and sector times.

Example:

  • Car #12 achieved the fastest overall lap time of 1:24.297.
  • Your selected car (#36) is 0.82 seconds slower overall, with sector differences of +0.37 (S1), +0.23 (S2), and +0.22 (S3).

Alpine Best

  • Lap Time: Displays the best lap time among the Alpine cars.
  • S1, S2, S3: Shows the sector times for the best Alpine lap.
  • Comparison: The times in red indicate how much slower your selected car (#36) is compared to the best Alpine lap and sector times.

Example:

  • Car #35 achieved the fastest Alpine lap time of 1:24.644.
  • Your selected car (#36) is 0.47 seconds slower overall, with sector differences of +0.16 (S1), +0.20 (S2), and +0.11 (S3).

Personal Best

  • Lap Time: Displays the best lap time of your selected car (#36).
  • S1, S2, S3: Shows the sector times for your personal best lap.
  • Comparison: The times in red indicate how much slower your selected car is compared to the best overall lap and sector times.

Example:

  • Your personal best lap time is 1:25.114.
  • This is 1.46 seconds slower than the best overall lap, with sector differences of +0.23 (S1), +1.08 (S2), and +0.14 (S3).
