Pit Release

Ensure compliance with minimum pit stop time requirements using real-time updates and visual indicators.

Overview

The Pit Release feature in ONE TIMING helps teams release cars without breaching the mandatory minimum pit stop time. It provides:

  • Minimum Pit Time: The required duration for a pit stop.
  • Time to Release: A countdown showing when the car can be released, calculated as the Minimum Pit Time minus the travel time from the pit stall to the pit exit.

When the countdown reaches zero, the plugin background turns green, signaling the car is ready for release.

How It Works

  1. Real-Time Countdown: The timer starts when the car enters the pitlane.
  2. Visual Indicators:
    • Black Background: Countdown in progress.
    • Green Background: Car is clear for release.

Setup Instructions

  1. Set Minimum Pit Time:

    • Go to Event Settings and input the required value in seconds. The Event Setting is called "Min Time in Pit Lane"
  2. Configure Garage to Pit Exit Time:

    • In Car Settings, specify the time (in seconds) from the pit stall to the pit exit. The Car Setting is called "Garage To Pit Exit Time".

Note: ONE TIMING dynamically adjusts the minimum pit time if the rules necessitate this feature, such as in the Nordschleifen Langstrecken Serie at the Nürburgring.
