Pit Release
Receive real-time updates on when you are clear to release the car without violating the minimum pit stop time requirement
Use Case
In various racing series, a minimum pit stop time is required during Race or Qualifying Sessions. ONE TIMING provides a feature to assist in releasing the car.
As the car navigates the track, the plugin displays both the Minimum Pit Time and the Time to Release the car upon reentering the pitlane. The "Time To Release" is calculated as the Minimum Pit Time minus the duration it takes to travel from your pit stall to the pit exit line.
The countdown timer will commence as soon as the pit entry trigger is detected in the timing feed. When the Time To Release reaches zero, the plugin background will change to green, indicating that the car is ready to be released without breaching the mandatory pit time requirement.
Set Up
To enable the Pit Release plugin in ONE TIMING, two inputs are required. In the "Event Settings," the Parameter "Min Time in Pit Lane" must be set to the accurate value in seconds. The other input is located in the "Cars Settings," where the "Garage To Pit Exit Time" should be specified as the duration in seconds from the pit stall to the pit exit line.
Note: ONE TIMING dynamically adjusts the minimum pit time if the rules necessitate this feature, such as in the Nordschleifen Langstrecken Serie at the Nürburgring.
