Track Table

Monitor and predict traffic gaps around a selected car in real time using a compact, color-coded table. Essential for anticipating interference and optimizing session strategy.

Overview

The Track Table plugin in ONE TIMING provides real-time analysis of traffic gaps around a selected reference car. By displaying gap information and traffic predictions in a compact table format, this tool helps you anticipate potential interference, monitor evolving traffic patterns, and make informed strategic decisions during a session.

Getting Started

To begin using the Track Table plugin:

  1. Right-click on the Track Table plugin.
  2. Select the driver you want to use as your reference point.
  3. The selected driver will be highlighted across the table using their assigned color.

Tip: Choose your reference driver based on the car you are most interested in monitoring for traffic.

Table Structure

The Track Table displays information in four main columns:

Car, Traffic, Gap, and Lap Columns

  • Car Column: Shows the Three Letter Abbreviation (TLA) of each car, with background color matching your Preferences settings.
  • Traffic Chance Column: Displays the predicted likelihood of traffic interference using three levels:
    • High: Red highlight with black text.
    • Medium: Yellow highlight with black text.
    • Low: Green highlight with black text.
  • Gap Column: Shows the time gap to each car relative to your reference driver (negative = ahead, positive = behind).
  • Lap Type Column: Displays the predicted lap type for each car (Out, Slow, Push Lap).

Customization Options

You can customize the Track Table plugin to suit your needs:

Context Menu

  • Right-click anywhere in the plugin to open a menu of configuration options.

Column Selection & Car Range Configuration

  • Use the second dropdown menu labeled 'Columns' to select which of the four columns you want to display.
  • Configure how many cars to display using the bottom two dropdown menus:
    • Cars Ahead: Set the number of cars in front of your reference driver.
    • Cars Behind: Set the number of cars behind your reference driver.
  • Values can be entered manually or adjusted incrementally.

Note: Each car appears only once in the plugin, positioned based on proximity to the reference driver.

Understanding Traffic Predictions

The Track Table’s traffic prediction system uses Event Settings to determine interference thresholds. It analyzes projected gaps using current positions and lap timing data to forecast traffic situations.

This allows you to:

  • Anticipate when cars may interfere with each other.
  • Monitor gap changes throughout the session.
  • Identify optimal timing for pit stops or qualifying runs.

Tip: Regularly monitor the Traffic Chance column to stay ahead of developing traffic situations that could impact your reference driver’s performance.

Best Practices

  • Configure your Event Settings thresholds for each track and session type.
  • Adjust the number of cars displayed based on your analysis needs and available screen space.
  • Use the color coding system to quickly identify high-risk traffic situations.
