Updating and Backing up Preferences

Color and Line Style Settings can be easily backed up. Rest assured that a ONE TIMING update will not disrupt your personalized List. Additionally, you have the option to Import a color file at any time without the need for a ONE TIMING update.

Save your existing Color File

To back up and save your current Color File, navigate to the "Preferences" in the "File" Menu. Select the Series Dropdown and choose the specific Series you wish to save. Utilize the "Import/Export" Function to Export your settings for all Series by selecting "Export all settings (Teams and series)" or Export settings for a particular Series by choosing "Export teams settings for SERIES."

ONE TIMING update

You have personalized your Color File

A ONE TIMING update will not overwrite your existing custom color file for that Series and Season. This also means that you won't receive any updates from PACETEQ for any new Teams or Entries.

You have NOT personalized your Color File

If the entries have not been adjusted in the "Preferences," ONE TIMING will replace the existing file with any new version distributed through a ONE TIMING update.

Replacing your customized file with the latest PACETEQ Version

If there is a need to remove your customized Color Settings and revert to the latest PACETEQ Version, simply select the Series or Season you wish to reset with a left-click. Next, right-click to access the context menu and delete the custom settings. ONE TIMING will then promptly load the PACETEQ Version, if it is available.

After Importing a color file

ONE TIMING offers the capability to locally Import a Color File. This may be necessary if the official entry list was inaccessible to PACETEQ one week before the Event begins. Or if you prefer to load a previously saved file.

Importing a Color File can be done via the "Import/Export" button and then selecting the option "Import settings (Teams and series)". The Color File needs to be in a .zip format. If you saved your color file earlier as described in this Article above, you need to save the Teams.SERIES.txt file as .zip to import it.

The Importing process will overwrite the existing color file completely. This includes removing any additional cars that were entered beforehand.
