Updating and Backing Up Preferences

You can back up, restore, and import Color and Line Style settings in ONE TIMING using the Preferences menu.

ONE TIMING updates will not affect your custom color files if they are saved and locked correctly.

Back Up Your Current Color File

To export and save your current settings:

  1. Go to File > Preferences
  2. Select the Series you want to export
  3. Click the Import/Export button
  4. Choose one of the following options:
    • Export all settings (Teams and Series) to back up everything
    • Export team settings for [Series] to back up a specific Series

  5. Save the exported file locally

ONE TIMING Update Behavior

ONE TIMING updates handle color and line style settings based on whether entries are locked.

🔒 Locked entries: Your custom color and line style settings remain unchanged during ONE TIMING updates.

🔓 Unlocked entries: ONE TIMING updates will overwrite your settings. Lock your entries after customizing to preserve them.

Reset to PACETEQ Default Settings

To restore the latest PACETEQ default version:

  1. Select the relevant Series or Season from File > Preferences
  2. Right-click to open the context menu
  3. Choose Delete custom settings

ONE TIMING will then load the latest available PACETEQ default file, if available.

⚠️ This action removes all custom color and line style settings.

Import a Color File

You can import a previously saved or externally provided Color File into ONE TIMING. This is useful if:

  • The official entry list was not available before the event
  • You want to restore a previously exported configuration

To import settings:

  1. Go to File > Preferences
  2. Select the Series you want to import settings into
  3. Open the Import/Export section
  4. Select Import settings (Teams and Series)
  5. Choose a .zip file containing your Color File

⚠ If you previously exported a file, make sure the Teams.SERIES.txt file is compressed into a .zip file before importing

⚠️ Importing a file will overwrite existing color and line style settings, including any custom entries. Locked entries will keep their saved settings.
