Ask Questions About Your Session with AI
AI Assistant lets you ask questions about session transcriptions from Live Session or Dashboard.
- Open Live Session or a past session in Dashboard
- Click AI Assistant in the left sidebar, or press Ctrl + I
- The AI Assistant panel opens on the right side of the screen
Ask a Question
- Type a question in the input field at the bottom of the panel
- Press Enter to send, or click the send button
- Use Shift + Enter for a new line
- Wait for your response.
- A 'Thinking…' indicator appears while processing
- Continue the conversation with follow-up questions
- The assistant keeps context from your current chat
Limit the Search to Specific Drivers
By default, AI Assistant uses transcriptions from all drivers in the session.
To narrow the scope:
- Click Select Drivers above the input field.
- Select one or more drivers
- Submit your question
Only selected drivers are included in the response.
Use driver selection when:
- analyzing a single car
- reviewing team-specific communication
- reducing noise in large sessions
Use Suggestions
Click Suggestions above the input field to quickly ask common questions.
Available suggestions include:
- Summarize — generates a summary of the selected drivers, or all drivers if none are selected
- Key Messages — highlights important events and communications
- Sentiment — analyzes the overall tone of the conversation
Selecting a suggestion sends the question immediately.
Use Saved Prompts (Optional)
Click Prompts above the text field to insert a saved prompt from your organization into the text field. You can edit the text before sending.
Saved prompts are managed in Settings → AI Prompts.
See Create & Manage AI Prompts for a detailed step-by-step guide.
Chat History
AI Assistant conversations are stored only for the current browser session.
- Refreshing the page clears the conversation
- Each session has its own separate chat
- Switching sessions starts a new conversation
Use the controls in the AI Assistant header to clear the chat, stop a response, or close the panel.
Get More Relevant Responses
For better results:
- Ask specific questions. “Summarize tyre-related messages for driver 44 in the last stint” will produce more targeted results than “What happened?”
- Use driver selection when asking about a specific driver, car, or team.
- Ask for a summary when you need a structured overview of performance, safety communications, sentiment, or key messages.
- Use follow-up questions to explore events in more detail without starting a new conversation.
- During live sessions, responses reflect the transcriptions available at the time of the request. Re-run questions as new transcriptions arrive.
