Live Session Controls
Learn how to manage a running session in ONE TRANSCRIPT, including extending session time, stopping transcription, and restarting stream processes when configuration changes or stream issues occur.
Live Session Controls are available while a session is running and help you respond to delays, interruptions, or configuration changes.
Extend Session Time
If an event is delayed or running longer than planned, extend the session time without creating a new session.
- Go to Settings → Sessions
- Find the session you want to update
- Click the actions menu (⋯) next to the session
- Select Update
- Adjust the session start and/or end date and time
- Click Update
Changes take effect immediately.
Updating Drivers During a Running Session
If you update drivers during a running session, ONE TRANSCRIPT prompts a force restart. A restart is required to reload updated stream configuration.
Force Stop a Session
Available while a session is running.
Use Stop Session when you need to immediately stop transcription before the scheduled session end time.
- Open Live Session
- In the sidebar, click Stop Session

- Confirm
One Transcript stops all active stream processes immediately.
Common scenarios include:
- The event ended earlier than expected
- The session was started accidentally
- Troubleshooting requires stopping transcription
⚠️ After stopping, live transcription only resumes if the session is restarted or a new one is created.
Force Restart a Session
Available while a session is running.
Use Force Restart to reload stream processes without changing the session schedule.
- Open Live Session
- In the sidebar, click Force Restart Session

- Confirm
ONE Transcript restarts all stream processes for the active session.
Use Force Restart when:
- You updated session or driver settings
- Stream URLs changed
- Streams are connected but no transcription appears
- You need to refresh stream processing during troubleshooting
⚠︎ Transcription may be interrupted briefly during restart.
