Using Contestants in Events
Once contestants are created, they can be:

- Used to organize data in runsheets
- Referenced in setup sheets for car-specific configurations
The contestant system ensures that all data is properly organized by individual car entries, making it easy to track and compare performance across different entries in your series.
Example: Setting Up a GT3 Entry
Let's create a contestant for a GT3 championship:
- Go to Admin > Contestants
- Click Add new Contestant
- Type season: "2024" > Select "2024 (DTM)"
- Enter start number: "99"
- Enter class: "GT3"
- Save the contestant
- Edit the contestant to add:
- Chassis: "Manufacturer GT3 #1"
- Drivers: "Driver A" and "Driver B"
This contestant entry can now be used throughout your 2024 season events.
Benefits of Proper Contestant Setup
- Data Organization: All runsheet and setup data is automatically organized by contestant
- Performance Tracking: Easy comparison between different car entries
- Driver Management: Clear association between drivers and their assigned vehicles
- Reporting: Generate reports specific to individual contestants or classes
With contestants properly configured, your runsheets and setup sheets will automatically separate data by car entry, making analysis and reporting much more organized and effective.
