Create and Publish a Countdown

Use the Countdown plugin to create and publish a schedule of upcoming sessions and event milestones in ONE TIMING.

For an explanation of the Countdown interface, display options, and general behavior, see Countdown Overview.

Countdown Access

⚠️ To publish a countdown, you need an admin license with the ONE TIMING management plugins enabled. Users without an admin license can view a published countdown but cannot publish a schedule.

Create a Countdown File

Countdown schedules are provided as a text file. Each line represents one upcoming event and contains the date, time, timezone, and event name.

Use the following format:

YYYY-MM-DDTHH:MM:SS+UTC_OFFSET,EVENT NAME

Example:

2026-08-14T11:30:00+02:00,DTM - FP1 START

Use the Countdown template to create your schedule.

Check every date, time, UTC offset, and event name before publishing. Do not add headings, explanations, or table formatting to the file; each line should contain one timestamp, one comma, and one event name.

⚠️Important: The first event in the file must be within the next 24 hours. Countdown schedules cannot be used more than 24 hours in advance of the first event.

Publish a Countdown

  1. Open ONE TIMING with an account that has an admin license
  2. Go to Plugins > Coordination > Countdown
  3. Drag and drop your Countdown file into the plugin
  4. The plugin loads the schedule and displays the upcoming sessions to connected ONE TIMING users
  5. Verify that the displayed sessions and times are correct

The Countdown updates automatically as sessions pass and new sessions become the next upcoming events.
