Stint Analysis
Examine and contrast the lap times of various drivers to gain insights into the cars' performance
Overview
The Stint Analysis plugin allows for a comparison of lap and sector times between drivers, setting it apart from the "Driver Analysis" plugin, which only allows for the examination of one car at a time.
All visible cars are organized based on the order of the ONE TIMING car selection column. Initially, only lap times are displayed in a minimized style, as shown with the driver "MEN" in the screenshot. By clicking on the 3 arrows in the header, you can expand the view to include sector times and speeds. The same button can be used to minimize this information.
The first column displays the overall lap number and track state. Hover over the track state for more details. The next column shows lap times and timestamps for pit entry and exit loops for In and Out Laps. The third column indicates the lap in the Stint, with hover-over functionality to reveal the Driver Name for that time period. This feature is beneficial for endurance racing with multiple drivers per car.
The fourth column highlights Lap Tags set by ONE TIMING, such as OUT, IN, "S" for Slow Laps, and "C" for cancelled laps which were invalidated by the Race Control. The "Avg" column displays the average lap time of the current stint, excluding slow and cancelled laps as well as the first lap of a race. Sector times, speeds, and Speed Trap data can be viewed with the sector times extended.
Towards the bottom of the Plugin, the Total Time of the car, Best laptime, and Theoretical Best laptime are shown. The Theoretical Best time is calculated by adding up all personal best sector times.
Lastly, certain stints can be deselected for improved readability. By default, all stints are ticked, but you have the option to untick them. The Stint Number and the number of laps in that stint are displayed for reference.
Context Menu
There are various options available in the context menu within this Plugin.
General
By selecting any area outside of a specific column, you will access three options. Choosing "Show Time Remaining" will switch the timestamp displayed for Out and In laps from Time of Day to the Time Remaining in the Session.
Opting for "Show loops instead of sectors" allows you to view loop times. If loop times are not available in a session, the times will remain blank.
To copy all lap and sector or loop times of the driver whose context menu you opened, simply select "Copy all data to clipboard."
Lap in Stint Column
If you right-click in the third column, you can make corrections to the Driver or Power Mode settings if they were mistakenly set by the timekeeper for any reason.
Lap Label
When accessing the context menu in the fourth column, you have the ability to include or exclude specific labels for a lap. This includes indicating if DRS was utilized, if the lap needs to be invalidated, or if you want to specify the type of Tyre Compound used on the car during that period.
