Message Actions

Message actions help you review, manage, and correct transcriptions during or after a session.

Select a message in the feed to view available actions.

Paceteq Workflow - Step 1 (5)

Play Audio (1) — Play the original audio associated with a message. Verify the transcription or review the radio communication.

Copy Messages (2) — Copy one or multiple messages to your clipboard to use in reports, notes, or other tools.

Copied content includes Timestamp, Driver name, and Message text:

  • Single message: Use the Copy action or Ctrl + C
  • Multiple messages: Click a message, then use Shift + click to select multiple messages → press Ctrl + C

Mark Messages as Important (3) — Mark important messages with the star icon to make them easier to find during a session.

  • Important messages appear in the Important Messages panel and are visible to other users viewing the session.
  • Use important messages to highlight key incidents, strategy calls, safety-related communications, or other information you want to revisit later.

Edit Messages (4) — Edit a message to correct or improve the displayed transcription.

After a message is edited, an (edited) label appears on the message.

ⓘ  If a message has been edited, exports and copied content use the edited version.

Retranscribe Messages (5) — Retranscribe processes the original audio again and generates a new transcription.

Use Retranscribe when:

    • The transcription is significantly inaccurate
    • A new transcription may produce a better result

⚠︎  Retranscribing replaces any manual edits previously made to the message.

Copy Message ID (6) — Copy the selected message’s ID to your clipboard to reference it in support requests or integrations.

Download Message Audio (7) —
Download the audio snippet for the selected message.

Delete Messages (8) —
Delete permanently removes messages from the session.

⚠️ Deleted messages cannot be recovered.
